THE SPECIMEN


The specimen is defined as that part of material which will be submitted to laboratory analysis.

It is obviously necessary that the sample represents, within certain limits, the widest possible part from which it has been cut , perfectly defined and reproduced.

As an example, rubber weight determination is obtained by material selected samples, subsequently analyized.

It is foundamental, to achieve reliable results, that the samples are as much as possible representative of the whole material tested and that they  may always be reproduced with the same precise dimensions, in order to be compared with the ones previuosly sampled.


It is therefore necessary that a Die cuts the sample with maximum accuracy.


Each material ( Ex: Paper, Plastics, Rubber, Leather, Fabrics and also Optical fiber cables, valves and products for Health Industry) needs of :


- A specific kind of punching

- A particular type of steel, composing the same Die

- A dedicated Hardening procedure

- A Relieving and Grinding process capable of  obtaining  the best performance
